ENGLISH FAIRY TALES contains stories from the prolific English writer, Flora Annie Steel. The edition is in excellent condition for its age and would add value to a collection of Arthur Rackham’s works. Original red cloth boards with gilt elf illustrations. Contains sixteen full-page color illustrations, plus 34 black-and-white text illustrations throughout the text. Forty-one fairy tales retold by F.A. Steel. 341 printed pages plus two pages of advertisements. Interior hinge cracked, but the binding remains solid and tight, with some wear and fading to the spine and overall shelf wear. Bumped and rubbed corners and edges. The pages are clean save for a very light stain in the top corner of text pages 1-15 and an occasional spot of foxing and discoloration on a few of the text pages.
