Solid half calf binding with gilt lettering on spine. Large works (10.5" x 8"), with 375 pp to Vol 1-2, and 346 pp to Vol 3-4. In Very Good Condition with minor shelfwear to boards. For Volume 1-2: pages are crisp and clean save for some spots of foxing along the borders on the first two blank pages, frontispiece and title page. All other pages are crisp and clean. For Volume 3-4: crisp clean pages free and free of interior markings. Profusely illustrated, with nearly 1,500 vignette and full-page engravings across all volumes. Including twelve plates to Volume 1 & 2, thirteen to Volume 3, and eleven to Volume 4. No date to title page, dated from Copac. Collated, complete.
