Book Details + Condition: Joseph Knight Company (Boston). First Edition, 1895. Scarce. Hardcover. Top edge gilt. Publisher's cloth decorated in silver, with applied illustration on front panel. Beautifully illustrated by Francis Gilbert Attwood. All pages are perforated along the spine, I imagine to ease in pulling illustrations for prints (or a binding error). An overall firm and clean copy of a scarce illustrated book of fairies, with tight binding; rubbed corners and edges; wear to boards, with slight bowing and discoloration to silver cloth; interior is clean and free of markings save owner name on front free endpaper, and old water stain to top edge of last few pages.
