In well preserved condition. 204 pages, "with upwards of 200 engravings on wood by eminent artists." The boards and binding are solid and tight save for some rubbing and shelfwear. The pages are crisp and clean save for old ex libris label on the inside front board and previous owner's inscription on the first blank page, along with a few small spots of staining on the bottom. Table of Contents includes an extensive list of all plays, with dates of first performances. An historical overview of the English Stage is also included. Very scarce first edition from 1833.
