Novel set in Alexandria, Ancient Greece, tells of the love and adventure of Chrysis — a courtesan. Illustrated with stunning full-page Art Deco images. In very good condition: tight binding; rubbed corners; light shelf wear to boards; text is clean and unmarked save a few spots of darkening. Scarce gold dust jacket has some normal wear at corners and edges, and remains unclipped. The original price is still present, which was a hefty sum in 1925.
