In overall excellent condition. First edition copy from 1878 of "Memoirs of the Life of Anna Jameson by Her Niece," Gerardine MacPherson. Dark teal blue embossed boards with portrait frontispiece; 362 pages. The boards are in excellent condition with minimal shelf-wear. The pages are crisp and clean, save for 2 very small holes at the top of the second page. Anna Jameson was an early female art historian of the Italian Renaissance; and author of the first systematic study of Christian iconography in the English language.
