Eden Phillpotts' story about a 100-year-old man who signs a pact with the devil to give him ten more years of life, in exchange for his soul. The old man accepts the deal, and grows younger in those ten years. Before he bargained with the devil, he was lovingly cared for by his granddaughter. Throughout the ten years, his granddaughter assumes the role of his daughter, sister, mother and, at every stage of her life, she tries her best to dissuade her grandfather of reckless actions - because he only has a few years left in which he was growing younger.
