ENCORE QUELQUES ARGUMENS CONTRE LE ZODIAC [A FEW ARGUMENTS AGAINST THE ZODIAC]
Book Details + Condition: Migneret (Paris). First Edition, 1819. Very scarce. Softcover / Wraps. Written in the original French language. 16 pages. Astronomer and astrologer Carl Gottlieb Swartz (Schwartz) was the first to propose that the 12 signs of the Zodiac were falsely attributed to the Greeks, and were in fact, established 1400 years earlier. He traces their origins in the geological formations located near the Caucasus and the Caspian Sea. He published his findings in "The Zodiac Explains, or Researches the Origin and Meaning of Constellations in the Greek sphere" (Le Zodiaque Explique, ou Recherches sur l'origine et la signification des Constellations de la Sphere Grecque). This follow-up publication provides compelling evidence to support the theory. Firm binding; light wear, with rubbing and discoloration (age-toning) to extremities; clean and free of markings, save owner name and date above title.
