THE BROTHERHOOD OF LIGHT: PROGRESSING THE HOROSCOPE (X-II)
Book Details + Condition: The Church of Light (Los Angeles, CA). Reprint edition, 1964. Hardcover. 256 pages, with ads to rear. Illustrated. The Brotherhood of Light lessons focus on the three branches of occult science, and were written between 1910 and 1950 by Elbert Benjamine (also known as C.C. Zain, and born Benjamin Parker Williams). The organization’s members proposed to Benjamine that he rewrite the order’s teachings in a systematic form as the basis for a new organization that would “bring occultism to the life of ordinary people." The 21-volume Brotherhood of Light lessons were the result, and members participate in a system of written examinations covering each volume. Each examination passed, advances the member one degree. Seven volumes each are devoted to astrology, alchemy, and magic. Students who complete all 21 degrees (including examinations) are awarded a “Hermetician’s Certificate”. This volume contains 8 individual issues bound together: The Hermetic System of Progressions; Major Progressions of Sun and Angles; Major Progressions of the Moon; Major Progressions of the Planets; Minor Progressions of Sun and Angles; Minor Progressions of Moon and Planets; Transits, Revolutions and Cycles; Rectifying the Horoscope.
