By Ernest Yates Loomis (1863 - 1929), an American occultist, author, and publisher (as Ernest Loomis & Co.), was a somewhat mysterious and enigmatic character. He taught and wrote extensively on the occult, though many of his books — like this one — are now extremely hard to find.
