This first edition copy was limited to 999 hand-numbered copies by author Mark Alan Smith, of which this is #230. It is a "talismanic" production: all copies of the book were blessed and individually consecrated by Smith, an occultist and devotee of Hecate, who has practiced witchcraft for nearly three decades. Dark brown "shimmering mahogany silk" cloth, with the Seal of Forbidden Wisdom in gilt on upper board, and gilt titling to spine. Printed on thick high-quality paper and finished with black textured endpapers. Includes twelve full-page illustrations, with over 280 sigils represented. Artwork by Namtaru Creations. In very good condition, with firm binding; light shelf wear only to cloth (book does not appear to have been read); interior is clean and free of markings, save author's numbering on page 406. Author Mark Alan Smith is an occultist and devotee of Hecate, who has practiced witchcraft for nearly three decades. "The Scorpion God" is the third volume of the Trident of Witchcraft series.
