Atkinson was one of the most influential thinkers of the early 20th century "New Age" philosophy of New Thought, which encouraged its adherents to learn the secrets of mind over matter. He was one of the first people to write about the Law of Attraction. Long before others discovered the secret that positive thoughts are powerful magnets that attract wealth, health, and happiness, Atkinson wrote about it.
