MISTER BABADOOK POP-UP BOOK
Book Details + Condition: Insight Editions (np). First and Limited Edition, 2016. Hardcover. Unpaginated (42 pages). Limited edition of 6200 copies and SIGNED by director Jennifer Kent on a pasted plate, to the rear. The book was intended to correspond as a limited edition piece of movie memorabilia for the movie BABADOOK. Film director Kent partnered with paper engineer Simon Arizpe and illustrator Alexander Juhasz to bring that accursed volume to life. From Paperspecs: "'All the specifications of the book are the same in the limited edition copies as they were in the film version, such as the color, binding and trim size'.... 'However, the film only shows a few pages from the book. In creating the limited edition we used those same pages but also designed several new pages to complete the story.'"
Firm binding; minor shelf wear to boards, with only a small bit of discoloration to cloth on top front corner & lower spine; interior is clean and free of markings; all pop-ups are functioning. All books are carefully packed, and shipped in boxes.
