Volume by German medical doctor and occultist Franz Hartmann on divination using astrology and geomancy, a method using soil and rocks to interpret answers to questions. Hartmann was an associate of Helena Blavatsky and founder of the German Theosophical Society. Subtitled "The art of divining by punctuation according to Cornelius Agrippa and others," this volume and its author influenced Aleister Crowley in designing his own Hermetic order. Chapter topics include an overview of astrology and the planets, the zodiac signs, instructions on the preparation for and practice of geomancy, and combining astrology and geomancy with examples. Book has been rebound in alligator-textured leather. Firm binding; book remains beautifully bound; age toning to pages; approx 60 (of 220) pages with underlining and/or marginal notations.
