THE RELIGION OF THE SPIRIT WORLD: WRITTEN BY THE SPIRITS THEMSELVES
Book Details + Condition: Dodd, Mead and Company (1920). First American Edition, 1920. Hardcover. 265 pages. Rev. Prof. George Henslow (1834-1926) was a clergyman of the Church of England, a recognized authority on Botany, and a convinced Spiritualist with a particular interest in 'psychic photography.' In this volume he offers revelations "in the form of messages and teachings from the Spirits themselves, on Religion and Religious life on the other side of the Veil." A solid and clean first edition of an uncommon work, with firm binding; rubbed corners and edges; wear to boards, with old stain to front edge (which does not bleed to interior, and appears to be a printing error); some foxing to endpapers (mainly rear); interior is clean and free of markings.
