Author T. d'Aute-Hooper explains psychometry as the ability to discover facts about an event or person by handling or viewing associated inanimate objects. He associates it with the Spiritualist movement of the day, and details that the readings are relayed through a spirit. In this scarce work, he relates a series of experiments with a Welsh trance medium, known only as "Olwyn". The book is divided into three parts:
