Original green cloth lettered in black on spine & front board. John Arthur Hill (1872-1951) had an interest in Spiritualism and psychical research that developed around the turn of the century. He assisted the well-known British Spiritualist Sir Oliver Lodge with his work, and became a member of the Society for Psychical Research (London), serving on its committee from 1927-1935. In this work he provides a popular overview of Spiritualism.
