Discusses the relation of animal magnetism to Spiritualism through the theory of vital fluid. Subtitle reads (in English): "Summary of all the principles and procedures of human magnetism to restore and develop physical functions and intellectual faculties in the state of illness." An overall firm and clean copy of a very scarce first edition, with tight binding; heavily rubbed corners and edges; wear to boards; binding tape to spine; normal age toning to pages and endpapers; interior is clean and free of markings.
