Parker, this volume is subtitled "A medical treatise on nervous and physical debility, spermatorrhoea, impotence, and sterility, practical observations on the treatment of diseases of the generative organs." Chapter topics include anatomy and physiology, and are primarily focused on spermatorrhoea, or "seminal weakness," a condition spoken of in the 19th century as unhealthy - and excessive ejaculation, which was purported to cause many physical issues.
