Book Details + Condition: James Miller (New York, NY). Fifth edition, 1863. Hardcover. 354 pages. This book from the writers of Boy's Own Magazine, a British magazine for young boys, is subtitled, "A Complete Encyclopedia of all athletic, scientific, recreative, outdoor and indoor exercises and diversions." This volume does not bear the author's name as the original 1828 edition does. Interior hinges cracked, and boards appear to have been partially re-attached at some point, but binding remains firm; rubbed corners and edges; wear to original boards; first few pages seem a bit precarious in binding, but are holding; tear to one page; interior is clean and free of markings, save name to front free endpaper and occasional aging/discoloration.
