The book is a study of the social issues during the first half of the 20th century surrounding antisemitism and discrimination against Jews in the workplace. Includes a beautiful ex libris plate of George Ephraim Sokolsky, with Hebrew and Chinese characters. Sokolsky (b. 1893) was a weekly radio broadcaster for the National Association of Manufacturers and a columnist for The New York Herald Tribune, who later switched to The New York Sun and other Hearst newspapers. He was also an expert on China. Tight binding; rubbed corners and edges; light fraying to spine ends; interior is clean and free of markings, save bookplate and library stamp on inside front board, and notation on rear endpaper.
