Book Details + Condition: Faruk von Turk (Carrollton, New Orleans, LA). First Edition thus, 1974. Scarce. Softcover pamphlet. 40 pages, with illustrations throughout. Small work by American novelist George Washington Cable, who is known for writing about Creole culture in New Orleans, and opposing Jim Crow laws in the late 19th century. This pamphlet is comprised of two articles originally published in 1886, containing sheet music and lyrics for songs, as well as anecdotes and artistic illustrations. Firm binding; light wear to covers; interior is clean and free of markings save name to first page. Top is cut uneven, at an angle, but this is a printing error.
