This new edition by renowned scholars and psychical researchers Eric John Dingwall and Harry Price includes a facsimile of the original, along with Notes, Bibliography, Glossary and Index. Originally published anonymously in 1891, "Revelations of a Spirit Medium" is "a detailed explanation of the methods used by fraudulent mediums" - exposing the tricks and practices of sprit mediums. According to the Bibliographical Note in the present edition, "the book was such a crushing exposé of the methods of bogus mediums that it created somewhat of a furore when it first saw the light. The mediums themselves bought every copy of the work they could find. Many copies were destroyed on the assumption that ‘dead men tell no tales,’ and the book soon became rarissime." This edition is likewise scarce, and there is no record of a second edition.
Firm binding; lightly rubbed corners and edges, and spine ends; toning to endpapers; interior is clean and free of markings.
