Noted Southern photographer Fred Barker captured 120 original photographs of Tampa, Florida and environs specifically photographed for this publication. The goal was to stimulate the tourist trade, but the work became a wealth of historical photographs, many of which have been used in later historical publications. Some topics include: local businesses, government buildings, churches, residential homes and points of historical interest of the time. Original 1903 paper covers are in surprisingly good condition, save a few stains to the rear and owner's info to the front. Some toning and a bit of corner wrinkles, otherwise in good condition.
