Dr. Edward Bach was a practicing physician who became disenchanted with the orthodox approach to medicine. In the 1930s, he worked to create a more simple, natural method of healing. He devised the Bach Flower Remedies to aid in balancing emotional states through the use of plant essences. The Bach Flower Oracle is a guide to Bach's 38 remedies and a tool for personal guidance. Each card gives the fundamental qualities of one remedy. A keyword at the top identifies the emotion. Listed below are negative and positive qualities associated with that state. Negative qualities are weaknesses which need to be overcome; positive qualities are strengths to be gained. The associated flower or plant is given at the bottom. From the instruction card: "The Bach Flower Remedies are a simple and natural method of healing by way of changing the state of one's emotions and mind, a method discovered by Edward Bach. Tune into your Higher Self and allowed your higher self to guide you in your selection. Draw three cards and meditate about the chosen Bach Flowers."
