Limited and numbered edition, of which this deck is no. 541. Italian tarot deck after an original by Duchess of Orléans Valentina Visconti (b. 1371). This edition was created by Maria Teresa Perosino and Sergio Panza. One theory holds that Visconti brought her tarot deck to the Palio di Asti, a medieval festival, in 1389, where French King Charles VI admired them and had a French artist redraw them for wider distribution. The cards present beautiful black-and-white reproductions of drawings. In very good condition, with minor shelf wear to outer slipcase only; all cards remain in their original order.
