Book Details + Condition: De Bure (Paris, France). Third edition, 1790. Hardcover with marbled boards and leather spine. Marbled endpapers. French volume containing 30 maps of Ancient Greece, including combat plans and passage routes, preceded by an analysis. Written and illustrated by French geographer Jean Denis Barbié du Bocage. Appears to have been rebound, as the text begins with the Table of Contents. Tight binding; rubbed corners and edges; wear to boards, with rubbed-off portion of marbled paper on front; normal age-toning to pages; chipping to title page and first few pages; title page appears to have old repairs; interior has (very!) old water stain to bottom of pages, but is otherwise free of markings.
