Illustrated with tables, a large fold-out "Genealogy of the Kings and Queens of England", and a fold-out of the "Descendants of Noah, and the Line of Shem". Volume by Reverend Thomas Watson on a variety of subjects, the work is subtitled "Digested, principally, in plain and instructive tables, to which are added, some rational recreations in numbers, with easy and expeditious methods of constructing magic squares, and specimens of some in the higher class." The book is divided into sections, with subjects including Astronomy, Chronology, Geography, Sacred History, Ancient Profane History, Modern History, Miscellaneous, and Rational Amusements. Various tables included throughout. A solid and clean copy of a very scarce work, with firm binding (interior hinge cracked but it remains firm); light wear to boards; areas of discoloration to inside boards; interior is clean and free of markings.
