The doctrine of the resurrection from the dead has ever been regarded, by orthodox
Christians, as a doctrine of the Bible, and as Vital to Christianity. Infidels
and semi-infidels have always denied it as wholly “incredible." Some, who
repudiate both the above characters, have fallen into their modes of reasoning
