In well preserved condition. The boards and binding are solid and tight save for light shelfwear. The hand-cut pages are crisp and clean. Scarce first edition, later printing / translation with an introduction by a very well known occultist, Montague Summers. The author, Father Noel Taillepied, was a seventeenth century French Franciscan friar who apparently produced this study of ghost lore to prove the existence of spirits and the afterlife.
