An unusual study of spiritualism, by Italian criminologist and physician Cesare Lombroso (1835 – 1909). Lombroso began his research into Spiritualism as a skeptic, and an atheist, and although he acknowledged that there were cases of fraud, he came to accept the existence of spirits, the powers of mediums, spirit photographs, voices, and other phenomena.
