A very rare, first edition of the FIRST Charles Dickens bibliography published in London in 1879. Full title: Bibliography of the Writings of Charles Dickens with Many Curious and Interesting Particulars Relating to his Work, by James Cook. The book is from the New Zealand General Assembly Library, now withdrawn. The boards and binding are solid and tight save a tear from the bottom leather covering of the spine as well as some wear to the top leather portion of the upper spine. The pages are crisp and clean with no interior markings save a library paste-down on the inside front board cover. A remarkable official first edition of a Charles Dickens bibliography.
