A wonderful, rare collection of children's fairy tales published by Cassell and Company, from 1883, in very well preserved condition. Red boards with ornate Victorian design on the front and on the spine, with heavy gilt. The boards and binding are solid and tight, with little shelf-wear. The pages and illustrations are crisp and clean save for a few light smudges at the page corners and previous owner's inscription on the first blank page, dated 1883. Large print, 188 pages, and heavily illustrated. A beautiful and scarce find!
