Details + Condition: Scarce Clavecin double-deck playing card set by Catel et Farcy. Made in France, circa 1960. The cards were designed by the French artist, F.R. Gabiraud, and engraved in the workshops of Society Technique. The cards portray a delicate 18th-century Rococo style figures on the court cards with the influence of the artist Fragonard. The larger box holding two individual card decks show some light wear. The individual boxes have almost no wear. One deck is sealed and the other may have been used but shows no wear. Both decks are complete with 56 cards, and they remain in their original order.
