Book Details + Condition: Very scarce 1915 edition of The Devil's Prayer Book or an Exposure of Auricular Confession as Practiced in the Roman Catholic Church for the Use of Husbands, Fathers and Brothers. In very good condition: soft covers have some shelfwear; pages are clean and free of writing save former owner's name on p 3, and small stamp of another owner on title page and 5 other pages. Illustrated with social commentary. CONTENTS: The Roman Catholic Confessional (Rules for Confession); Roman Latin Theology; The Doctrines of the Jesuits; The Abominations of Roman Baptism; The Roman Catholic Doctrine of Intention; The Devil's Catechism; and more. William Lloyd Clark, who passed away in 1935, was publisher of the Rail Splitter Press and a staunch anti-Catholic. He has been called "an army of one." The Rail Splitter's motto was "One Law, One School, One Flag" and he sold the phrase on tiny stickers as well as the charming "Be an American" sticker.
