Details + Condition: Scarce New York City Ballet double-deck set of playing cards designed by Edward Gorey. By Gemaco, circa 1980s. The cards feature beautiful black-and-white illustrations of ballet dancers designed by Edward Gorey, titled Rehearsal and Performance. One deck remains sealed and the other deck is in like-new condition, with all cards present and in their original order. The plastic box has some minor scuffing on the outside due to shelf wear. From the collection of a tarot and playing-card enthusiast, who amassed the cards in the 1970s and '80s (please see our other listings for the collection).
