Solid red cloth boards, with beveled edges and gilt lettering on spine. In very good condition: overall minimal shelf wear; bumped corners and rubbing to spine ends and edges; some fading/discoloration to back board; slight warping to bottom of back board; fading to spine; slight lean; tight binding; hand-cut pages are crisp and clean and free of interior markings. Library paste-downs on the inside boards and embossed stamp on the front end pages. The library paste-downs show no patron withdrawals. A large book, at 7.5" x 10.25" and with 480 pages. The book contains rare images of ancient Egypt and Asia, many which are no longer in existence, including many Egyptian monuments and temples which were flooded with the creation of the High Aswan Dam created in the 1960s and 1970s.
