First Altemus edition. Edited by Henry C. Walsh. Folio measures 12.5" x 10". 319 pages. The boards and binding are solid and tight save for some rubbing and light shelf-wear. The pages are crisp and clean save for some very minor foxing on the title page and the beginnings of page separation on the first blank page. A beautiful, well preserved and famous copy of PARADISE LOST published by Henry Altemus and illustrated by Gustave Dore, for your collection.
