Beautifully decorated hardcover with gilt and white floral-stamped blue cloth. 241 pages, and illustrated with 5 in-text figures and 4 plates. First edition of Japanese occult folklore and legends by Patrick Lafcadio Hearn (1850 – 1904), who lived and studied in Japan, and wrote extensively on Japanese history and culture.
