The Journal of John James Audubon: Made While Obtaining Subscriptions to His "Birds of America" 1840-1843. In overall excellent to near mint condition. A very rare, first edition, first printing copy edited by Howard Corning with a copyright by the Club of Odd Volumes, from 1929. The boards and binding are solid and tight with very little shelf-wear. The hand-cut pages are crisp and clean save for small tears to the top of the forward page caused by the hand-cutting process. A fascinating and rare Audubon journal from 1929 for your collection.
