 Rare, first edition, first printing of Kate Greenaway's "Marigold Garden," bound in its original decorative green glazed paper-covered boards with brown cloth spine. A collection of charming rhymes for children by Kate Greenaway, illustrated by her in full color on nearly each page, with vignettes of children playing, surrounded by springtime flowers. Printed by Edmund Evans. The boards and binding are solid and tight save for some shelf-wear and very small chip missing at the bottom of the first green page. The pages and illustrations are crisp, colorful and clean save for previous owner's signature and some foxing on the first text page and a few spots of foxing on the corresponding next two.
