Illustrated play / script by Louise Saunders, wife of famed editor Maxwell Perkins, who is notable for discovering writers F. Scott Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemingway, and others. This volume features brightly colored images by popular artist Maxfield Parrish, used to illustrate the text. The play's plot expands on a character first seen in Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, the Knave of Hearts, and his trial for theft of tarts. Colorful cover illustration and spiral binding. Firm binding; light wear to covers, with some age discoloration; interior is clean and free of markings save a bit of aging/darkening to inside covers and corresponding pages.
