Almost like new condition save book store tag on inside cover and small mark near spine on front cover. This well known children's series includes the very hard-to-find box, which has preserved the book exceedingly well. The pages are crisp and clean. The book does not seem to have been read. The box is in excellent condition with slight scuffing on the cover. Original navy illustrated cloth showing an illustration of Lafayette on the front cover. Gilt lettering on front cover and spine. 7-1/4 x 9-1/2 inches. 371 pages. Copy has 7 color plates and plates are fully intact. Madison (1865-1932) was an American novelist and teacher. A wonderful condition historical children's book with rare box for your collection.
