Louise Huber was the founder of the Astrological Society Institute and creator of the "Huber Method," which combines astrology with psychology.
Louise was a driving force in the founding of API in 1968. She supported the research made by her husband Bruno into astrological psychology and the development of what has become known as the Huber Method. Alongside Bruno, she taught and lectured on astrological psychology not only in Switzerland but in many countries worldwide. She was a consulting astrologer working with clients and wrote numerous books on the subject of astrological psychology. Bruno said that theirs was a complementary partnership. He was the scientific researcher and Louise contributed intuitive and sometimes instant understanding of those aspects of astrological psychology as they developed their method. Both of them had been instrumental in founding the Geneva branch of the Arcane School in 1956, and Louise’s study of the works of Alice Bailey was an ongoing, lifelong task which she undertook joyfully, leading regular Full Moon meditations. In 1959, she and Bruno moved to Florence to study psychosynthesis with Roberto Assagioli, and to work as his assistants. On their return to Switzerland they founded API.
