Scarce first edition from 1911 of "Modern Carriage & Wagon Painting: A Series of Practical Treaties On: The Painting of Carriages and Wagons, Embracing Full Directions For The Practical Execution of All Kinds of Carriage and Wagon Painting, Including: Stripping, Lettering, Scrolling, Ornamental Work, Varnishing, Transfer Ornaments, Applying Gold Leaf, Etc." Dark red embossed (embossed with brushes!) boards with gilt lettering, 162 pages with Index following. Illustrated. Book measures approx. 5" x 6-3/4". The boards and binding are solid and tight save for chipping to the spine ends and shelf-wear. There  a small dent is present on the bottom of the front and back boards. The pages and illustrations are crisp and clean. Please see pictures. A fascinating and scarce find!
