decorative gilt and stamped color lettering and tooling. The volume is adorned
with a tissue-guarded frontispiece and illustrated plates, some of which are
tissue-guarded engraved plates. The chapters of the book are as follows: Style;
Design; Patterns; Materials; Colour; Stitches; Hangings; Furniture; Dress;
Ecclesiastical Embroidery; and English Embroidery. Moderate rubbing to the boards. The interior
pages show mild to moderate age toning/foxing, with the engraved plates show
