The boards and binding are solid and tight save for rubbed corners and shelf-wear. The pages and illustrations are crisp and generally clean save for some foxing on the borders of five of the illustrations and spots of foxing on some of the other pages. Former owner's information on inside board and a few areas of minor underlining in the text. A wonderful antique first edition, first printing of Obstetric Surgery by two well noted 19th century physicians.
