Rare, first edition, first printing copy of Ruth Plumly Thompson's "Pirates in OZ" with all 12 colored plates intact. The boards and binding are solid and tight, save some shelf-wear on spine ends and corners. The pages are crisp and generally clean save for spots of discoloration on pages 87-89, and 180-181. The 12 colored plates are crisp, clear and in excellent condition. The beginnings of minor page separation to front board's corresponding page which has been secured by a piece of tape. Peter returns to Oz for a third time, this time w/Captain Samuel
Salt/his pirates on the Nonestic Ocean (surrounding the landmass of
Oz/neighbor countries); Old Ruggedo, the Gnome King has returned, cursed
w/a Silence Stone, deciding to answer an ad for King of
Menankypoo (whose people communicate w/words appearing on their
foreheads), demanding a voiceless king; Soon he becomes leader of a band
of pirates and rebels, attempting once again to conquer Oz.
