Scarce two-volume first edition set of the "The Prophetic Writings of William Blake" from 1926. Blue cloth boards with gilt lettering and decoration. With black and white frontispiece illustrations. The two volumes are in overall excellent condition. For both volumes, the boards and bindings are solid and tight with very little shelf-wear. The pages and illustrations are crisp and clean save for library stamps on the first blank page and bottom of title page. Previous owner's bookplate on the second blank page of volume one. (These volumes were part of the Garfield and Helen W. Tourney William Blake Collection of Quincy University, in Quincy, Illinois.)
