Book Details + Condition: Scarce first edition from 1927 of SPIRITUAL AMERICA AS SEEN FROM THE OTHER SIDE: Dictated by Invisible Teachers, Clairaudiently Received by Helen Wells, Transcribed by a Class of Eight Students. Original blue cloth with gilt title (etc.) to spine, and gilt title and author, blind rules on front. The book still has many - most - uncut pages, so it hasn't been read. A collection of messages mostly relevant to the USA, said to have been received clairaudiently by Helen Wells, a New York psychic who had trained in clairaudience and clairvoyance under the well known Spiritualist Helen Temple Brigham of New York. The messages were apparently dictated through the medium in short phrases and transcribed by different members of a group of women who gathered regularly to study psychic demonstration and spiritual philosophy. In very good condition: cloth slightly darkened, particularly at spine. Spine ends bumped and rubbed with some light fraying spine ends. Corners bumped and rubbed. Paper browned, but clean and unmarked (and uncut).
